Which event attracts so many VIPs?
The Venice Film Festival obviously, the film festival that will animate the lagoon city this year from August 29th to September 8th.
Born from the idea of Giuseppe Volpi, Luciano de Feo and Antonio Maraini, this festival saw the projection and the victory on its stage of cult films of the world cinema culture that have revolutionized the panorama.
Where is the film festival held? In the Palazzo del Cinema, located on the Marconi promenade, on the islet called Lido di Venezia.
The Venice Film Festival 2018: the participants
The 75th edition of the Venice Film Festival will feature Guillermo del Toro, winner of the 2017 Golden Lion for the film “The shape of water”, as the president of the jury.
The film that will open the event is still unknown, but given the recent developments it is expected to be a modern and original film. In any case, we will have to wait a few more months to have a definitive projection calendar and the line up of films in competition.
What about the participating stars? Here too, there’s nothing definitive. But one thing is certain: on the red carpet we will see the most important personalities of the international scene, to the delight of gossip magazines all over the world! 
The recent discussions have been about choosing this year’s the godmother or godfather. In 2017 Alessandro Borghi was chosen, breaking the schemes that required a woman at the helm of the film event. Rumors say that a couple is needed to break the tradition and give the festival a breath of fresh air.
