For lovers of the seventh art it is an unmissable event, we are talking about the 76th Venice International Film Festival.
Every year between the end of August and the beginning of September the spotlights come on at the Lido of Venice, an international event that hosts directors and actors of the caliber of Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp.
This edition will start on August 28th and end on September 7th.
Venice International Film Festival: where it takes place
For many years, awarding screenings and ceremonies took place in the area of the Palazzo del Cinema in Via Lungomare Marconi. In recent editions, other venues have been inaugurated, such as the Pala Biennale, but the real heart of the festival is between the Excelsior Hotel, the setting for luxurious VIP parties and the Palazzo del Casinò.
Getting here is very simple, just take the vaporetto lines 1, 2, 6, 5.1 or 5.6 towards Lido. During the 2019 Venice International Film Festival there will also be a vaporetto that arrives directly in front of the Palazzo del Cinema.

Venice International Film Festival: who will participate
Many guests are expected on the red carpet of this edition, just think that among the films in competition there are “Ad Astra” with Brad Pitt, “Joker” with Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro, “J’Accuse” with Louis Garrel and many others.
