Are you considering a trip to the seaside near Venice but don’t know how to organise it?
This article will provide you with a convenient way to make the most of what the surroundings of the world-famous city, which welcomes so many tourists every year, have to offer.

Lignano Sabbiadoro

The first stop on the outskirts of Venice is Lignano Sabbiadoro, an excellent location if you are travelling with your family and want to go to the beach. On a summer holiday, it is impossible to be without fresh seawater and relaxation.

In Lignano Sabbiadoro, about an hour and a half away from Venice, travellers can enjoy a relaxing break at one of the resort’s many beaches.

Don’t miss Lignano Sabbiadoro Beach and Doggy Beach, the latter accompanied by your four-legged friends, who are welcome.

And if you have children, an interesting place to stop could be the Punta Verde Zoo, where wild animals of different species are cared for, such as tigers, giraffes, monkeys, but also fish and birds.

Bibione

Bibione is the second must-see stop and is recommended mainly for its beaches and waterfront promenades, especially during sunset. A particularly peaceful destination, so is excellent for those who like to relax.

Don’t forget Pluto Beach. The Bibione lagoon is also worth visiting, where you can rent a canoe and go on an adventure through the canals.

Caorle

A third possible stop on your holiday is the ancient village of Caorle, called Little Venice. Here, too, you will be able to enjoy well-equipped beaches with clean waters.

Of course, a stop in the historical centre is a must, visiting the Santo Stefano Protomartire Cathedral in particular.

Also not to be missed are the casoni of Caorle, wooden huts that were used as shelters in the past.

Eraclea

Eraclea overlooks the Gulf of Venice and if you like walking in the heart of nature, breathing clean air, this is the ideal place.

The Eraclea Pinewood and Eraclea Beach are worth a visit.

Jesolo

Jesolo is a favourite summer destination for tourists and welcomes large numbers of tourists looking for wellness and fun every year.

This is where, for example, the most beautiful water park on the peninsula is located, namely Caribe Bay, which, in addition to attractions and sports activities, also offers visitors a beautiful Caribbean beach.

Obviously, the night is always young! You can have fun in one of the many beach chalets or in the discos, with music and dancing until the early hours of the morning.

Cavallino

Cavallino is quieter and so also suitable for families with children who want to take a break from everyday life and relax by the sea.

Visit to Venice

If you want a break from the sea, after several days spent between beaches and discos, a one-day stopover in Venice might be ideal. You can visit the world-famous Piazza San Marco, with its historical and luxurious bars, the Rialto Bridge and the Ponte dei Sospiri, the small but precious Acqua Alta bookshop and take the unmissable gondola ride.

Venice is a city to be experienced, and, while popular and almost taken for granted, these are attractions and activities that cannot be missed.
