For everyone who loves the mountains, the Delicious Festival Dolomiti<\/strong><\/em> in Cortina d’Ampezzo<\/strong> is an unmissable event: a unique combination of nature, culture, sport and gastronomy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Let’s find out all about this year’s activities and how to get to this high-altitude resort.<\/p>\n The Delicious Festival Dolomiti<\/strong><\/em> is an event organised by the Cortina Delicious Team<\/strong>, a consortium that includes most of the mountain huts, restaurants, hotels and cable cars in the area, together with the Cortina Mountain Guide Group Association<\/strong>. During the Delicious Festival Dolomites<\/strong><\/em>, sporting activities for young and old, combine with relaxing moments accompanied by quality food and wine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The 2022 edition of the Delicious Festival Dolomiti<\/strong> <\/em>will take place on Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th of September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n An opening event will be held on the first day<\/strong>: the Pala Delicious<\/strong>, a unique place to taste Chef Team Cortina’s dishes, will be open to all participants from 10 am<\/strong> until the end of the event.<\/p>\n The second day<\/strong> will bring exciting sporting events, such as the sixth edition of the Delicious Trail Dolomiti<\/em><\/strong> and the fifth edition of the Mini Delicious Trail<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n At the conclusion of the Festival, there will be a big party with music, entertainment and DJ sets.<\/p>\n The Delicious Trail Dolomiti<\/strong><\/em>, organised by the Amateur Sports Association L5T Sport<\/strong>, will take place on 24 September<\/strong> in one of the most beautiful places in Cortina d’Ampezzo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n A trail race with a high-altitude route of 43 km<\/strong> through the largest open-air museum of the Great War in the Dolomites. It was here, that the battles between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies took place<\/strong>, evidence of which can be seen at the Lagazuoi Museum and Gallery<\/strong> and at the 5 Torri Museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Newcomers to the trail will be able to take part in the Short Delicious Trail Dolomiti<\/strong><\/em>, which provides a shorter route, while for children and young people (aged 4 to 12) there is the Mini Delicious Trail<\/strong><\/em>. Another event will also take place on 24 September, the non-competitive Delicious Climbing Dolomiti competition<\/strong>, a climbing festival attracting many enthusiasts. The event is now in its fourth year<\/strong>, made possible by the ongoing efforts of the L5T Amateur Sports Association<\/strong> in cooperation with the Cortina Mountain Guide Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Festival area is located in the heart of the Dolomites, between the Giau and Falzarego Passes<\/strong>, and can be reached by car or public transport<\/strong> in both the summer and winter months.<\/p>\n Coming by car<\/strong> from the South, from Venice it is possible to take the A27 motorway to Pian di Vedoia<\/strong>, and then proceed on the Alemagna Motorway 51<\/strong> towards Cortina d’Ampezzo. A useful alternative is offered by the ATVO transport company<\/strong>, which provides a Venice-Cortina connection<\/strong><\/a> in comfortable, fully equipped buses.
