The\u00a0Venice Carnival<\/a>\u00a0is the most awaited event in the city. Children and adults start to make all kinds of costumes months before to show them off during the days of the celebration, in fact walking through the streets of Venice during the Carnival will give you an impression of landing on another planet.<\/p>\n This year the Venetian Carnival will start on February 17, we propose five events not to be missed!<\/p>\n The Venetian Carnival opens with the parade of \u201cmasked boats\u201d<\/b>.\u00a0On\u00a0<\/strong>February 17<\/b>\u00a0at\u00a011.00 am<\/b>the water procession will start from Punta della Dogana and will continue along the Grand Canal until reaching the popular Rio di Cannaregio, where Venetians and city guests will eagerly await the parade along the Fondamenta.<\/p>\n We advise you to arrive early, so you can get in the front row and enjoy the show!<\/p>\n The colorful scenery of the boats, the typical cicheti, the tasting of fritole and Venetian galani offered by the stands in the Fondamenta will be worth waiting!<\/p>\n On\u00a0February 23rd<\/b>\u00a0the\u00a0traditional \u201cFesta delle Marie\u201d<\/b>\u00a0will take place, a real treat for those who love historical reenactments and want to know the history of the city. In the past, during this festival, the rapture and liberation of twelve betrothed which took place at the time of the Doge Pietro Candiano III was celebrated. This celebration was re-established in the 70s and today, even if Venice no longer has a Doge, it continues to have its Marias.<\/p>\n The parade will start at 2.30 pm from San Pietro di Castello<\/strong>\u00a0and will cross via Garibaldi and Riva degli Schiavoni forming a spectacular procession that will arrive on the stage in Piazza San Marco.<\/p>\n Like the \u201cFesta delle Marie\u201d this show has a centuries-old history, it is said that the first angel was a Turkish acrobat who demonstrated his ability by descending from the Campanile di San Marco to the balcony of Palazzo Ducale using a barbell. Since then, every year the exhibition took place, giving the young Venetians the opportunity to show their courage. In 1759 a terrible accident convinced everyone that a wooden dove would be more suitable than a real person. That year, in fact, the flight ended with the death of the acrobat.<\/p>\n In recent years the tradition has been re-established and, with the necessary precautions, the flight takes place each year.\u00a0In 2019 the angel will be Erika Chia<\/strong>, Maria of the Carnival 2018 and\u00a0the flight will take place on February 24th<\/strong>!<\/p>\n For many years, from Thursday to Shrove Tuesday musical performances, carnival floats, confetti and costumed parades have taken place in of one of the most famous islands of Venice, the colorful Burano. On the occasion, the picturesque\u00a0Piazza Galuppi<\/strong>\u00a0will be festively dressed and will become the stage for all these events.\u00a0The first appointment will be on February 28th from 15.00<\/strong>!<\/b><\/p>\n On the catwalk of Piazza San Marco the most beautiful masks of this year\u2019s Carnival will compete. A double daily appointment will involve the whole Piazza, its guests and a jury who will choose the winners. The final parade will be held on\u00a0Sunday, March 3 from 11.00 to 13.00<\/strong>. Cinque appuntamenti imperdibili del Carnevale di Venezia 2019: corteo e festa delle Marie<\/h3>\r\nIl\u00a023 febbraio\u00a0<\/b>si svolger\u00e0\u00a0la tradizionale \u201cFesta delle Marie\u201d<\/b>, una vera chicca per chi ama le rievocazioni storiche e vuole conoscere la storia della citt\u00e0. Anticamente, durante questa festa,\u00a0si celebrava il rapimento e la liberazione di dodici promesse spose, avvenuta ai tempi del Doge Pietro Candiano III. Questa celebrazione venne recuperata negli anni \u201870 dello scorso secolo e oggi,\u00a0anche se Venezia non ha pi\u00f9 un Doge, continua ad avere le sue Marie.\r\n\r\nLa sfilata partir\u00e0 alle 14,30 da San Pietro di Castello e percorrer\u00e0 via Garibaldi<\/strong>\u00a0e Riva degli Schiavoni formando uno scenografico corteo che arriver\u00e0 sul palco di Piazza San Marco.\r\n
Cinque appuntamenti imperdibili del Carnevale di Venezia 2019: il volo dell\u2019angelo<\/h3>\r\nCome il corteo delle Marie anche questo spettacolo ha una storia secolare, si racconta infatti che il primo Angelo fu un acrobata turco che diede dimostrazione della sua abilit\u00e0 calandosi dal Campanile di San Marco alla balconata di Palazzo Ducale usando un bilanciere. Da allora, per molti altri secoli, ogni anno l\u2019esibizione ebbe luogo, dando occasione ai giovani veneziani di dar prova di coraggio. Nel 1759 un terribile incidente convinse tutti a far volare una colomba di legno anzich\u00e9 una persona. Quell\u2019anno, infatti, il volo si concluse con la morte dell\u2019acrobata.\r\n\r\nNegli ultimi anni la tradizione \u00e8 stata recuperata e, con i dovuti accorgimenti, il volo ha luogo ogni Carnevale.\u00a0Nel 2019 l\u2019angelo sar\u00e0 Erika Chia<\/strong>, Maria del Carnevale 2018 che\u00a0spiccher\u00e0 il volo il<\/strong>\u00a024 Febbraio!<\/strong>\r\n
