At that time the soldiers &#8220;sprayed&#8221; the white wine with sparkling water, in order to make it less strong. It was from the German verb &#8220;Spritzen&#8221; (i.e. to spray) that the word &#8220;Spritz&#8221; was born.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spritz became synonymous with aperitifs and socialising as early as 1900, and then took on the composition we know today in the 1970s: white wine, sparkling water and Select.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The original recipe<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we have said, the ingredients that form the basis for creating the perfect Spritz are <strong>white wine<\/strong> (preferably prosecco), <strong>sparkling water or Seltz<\/strong> and, finally, a more bitter note with the <strong>Select<\/strong>. It is a product by the Venetian Pilla brothers, who founded their distillery in 1919 as the company Fratelli Pilla &amp; C.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spritz al Select is <strong>considered the true Venetian Spritz<\/strong> and is characterised by its unmistakable taste, which typical of the traditional flavours of the past.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What gives this variant of Spritz an unmistakable flavour is the presence of <strong>30 aromatic herbs<\/strong>, including juniper berries and rhubarb roots. The Select, on the other hand, causes the drink to leave an aftertaste with citrus notes that are also bitter and decisive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recommended measurements for a glass of Spritz are <strong>60 ml of white wine or prosecco<\/strong>, <strong>40 ml of Select<\/strong> and a <strong>splash of Seltz or sparkling water<\/strong>. A <strong>green olive<\/strong> is unmissable, accompanied, if desired, by a <strong>slice of orange<\/strong>.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Spritz al Select remains the one true aperitif of the lagoon, practically becoming an icon of Venetian tradition.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What are the variants of Venetian Spritz?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spritz al Select is the symbol of the Venetian aperitif, but it&#8217;s not the only one. <strong>Spritz with Aperol or Campari are also traditional Venetian drinks<\/strong> that can be enjoyed at aperitif time and accompanied by the classic Venetian &#8220;cicchetti&#8221; (small appetisers, such as cold and hot fish bites served with bread or polenta).<br \/><\/span><em><strong>Aperol Spritz<\/strong><\/em> is a great classic and forms at the core of many Venetian evenings enjoyed in good company. The recipe for this variant is also very simple; instead of adding Select to the prosecco, replace it with the same dose of Aperol, which will give the cocktail an orange colour. An olive and orange slice complete the Spritz, which is ready to be enjoyed while watching the sunset over the lagoon.<br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><strong>Campari Spritz<\/strong><\/em> differs from the Aperol Spritz in both taste and appearance: Campari gives the Spritz a red colour and a more bitter note, which slightly covers the cocktail&#8217;s citrus nuances. Campari Spritz isn&#8217;t a real Spritz unless it&#8217;s topped off with an olive and a slice of lemon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The three versions of Spritz presented above are the types most associated with Venetian tradition. Spritz is a drink that can be easily replicated, because, as we have seen, the recipe is not very complicated.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It goes without saying that enjoying a Spritz during a holiday immersed in the picturesque landscape typical of Venice is absolutely priceless. A partire dalla fine delle feste di Natale nelle vie della citt\u00e0 si potevano incontrare i\u00a0<em>fritoleri<\/em>, venditori ambulanti che cucinavano frittelle vestiti con il tipico grembiule.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Curiosit\u00e0: Lo sai che nella commedia di Carlo Goldoni,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Il_campiello\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Il Campiello<\/a>, la protagonista Orsola fa proprio la\u00a0<em>fritolera<\/em>?<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\r\n<h3>Frittelle: i dolci tradizionali del Carnevale a Venezia, la ricetta.<\/h3>\r\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Sebbene ai fritoleri fosse concesso tramandare il mestiere esclusivamente ai propri figli, la ricetta della fritola ha conosciuto nei secoli moltissime varianti, come ad esempio quella preparata nella festa ebraica del Purim.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><strong>In Veneto e nelle regioni vicine si diffusero ricette alternative<\/strong>\u00a0che prevedevano l\u2019utilizzo di erbe spontanee di monte, riso o polenta.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><strong>La ricetta che qui ti proponiamo \u00e8 una delle pi\u00f9 diffuse oggi a Venezia<\/strong>, se hai voglia di metterti alla prova e misurare le tue abilit\u00e0 culinarie seguila passo dopo passo e poi raccontaci com\u2019\u00e8 andata nei commenti!<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><strong>Ingredienti (per 6 persone)<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>400 g di farina, 100 g di uvetta sultanina, 1 cucchiaio di zucchero, 2 uova; circa 1 bicchiere di latte, 1 bicchierino di rum, 30 g di lievito di birra, sale, olio di arachide per friggere e zucchero a velo per le frittelle.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\r\n<h3>Frittelle: i dolci tradizionali del Carnevale, come si preparano<\/h3>\r\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} -->\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Fai rinvenire l\u2019uvetta in acqua tiepida.<\/li>\r\n<li>Sbriciola lievito di birra e uniscilo a 60 ml di acqua tiepida, mescolate finch\u00e9 il lievito non si sar\u00e0 sciolto.<\/li>\r\n<li>In una grande ciotola mescola la farina con tre cucchiaini di zucchero e la scorza di un limone grattugiato.<\/li>\r\n<li>Versa la farina, il lievito sciolto nell\u2019acqua e inizia a mescolare con la frusta e infine aggiungi il rum.<\/li>\r\n<li>In un\u2019altra ciotola sbatti le uova con un pizzico di sale<\/li>\r\n<li>Versa le uova nell\u2019impasto delle frittelle e aggiungi a poco a poco il latte continuando a mescolare.<\/li>\r\n<li>Quando avrai ottenuto un impasto fluido non aggiungere pi\u00f9 latte, poi strizza bene l\u2019uvetta e aggiungila mescolando per distribuirla bene.<\/li>\r\n<li>Copri la ciotola con un foglio di pellicola trasparente e lascia lievitare per un\u2019ora e mezzo o due. Quando l\u2019impasto sar\u00e0 lievitato del doppio del suo volume iniziale tiralo fuori.<\/li>\r\n<li>Fai scaldare abbondante olio di arachidi fino a 170\u00b0, prendi piccole quantit\u00e0 di impasto, all\u2019incirca mezzo cucchiaio, e falle cadere nell\u2019olio bollente.<\/li>\r\n<li>Quando le frittele iniziano a gonfiarsi girale per fargli acquistare una doratura uniforme, scolale e mettile in un piatto con un foglio di carta da cucina sotto e infine cospargile di zucchero semolato.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><strong>Quando le
