At the age of 18, her father wanted to register her, together with his brothers, in the register of the Venetian nobility by paying the sum of 100,000 ducats.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Who was Elena Cornaro Piscopia? Education<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her father Giovan Battista, aware of Lucrezia&#8217;s great gifts, immediately encouraged her to deepen her studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>He entrusted her preparation to the theologian Giovanni Battista Fabris<\/strong>, to the latinist Giovanni Valier, to the Greek scholar Alvise Gradenigo, to the professor of theology Felice Rotondi and to Rabbi Shemel Aboaf, from whom Lucrezia learned Hebrew.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to these teachings, Lucrezia learned many languages \u200b\u200bsuch as Spanish, French, Arabic, Aramaic and also acquired skills in the field of music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Carlo Rinaldini, former professor of philosophy at the University of Padua<\/strong>, <strong>was her mentor and guided her in the study of dialectics and philosophy<\/strong>. Elena Lucrezia soon gained fame in intellectual circles around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Who was Elena Cornaro Piscopia? Graduation<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>In 1678<\/strong>, after taking part in a philosophical dispute in ancient Latin and Greek in Venice, through Carlo Rinaldini, <strong>Elena Lucrezia asked that she be awarded a degree in theology from the University of Padua<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Initially the bishop of Padua opposed the degree and came into conflict with Lucrezia&#8217;s father, but eventually, on June 25, 1678, she obtained recognition of her degree in philosophy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This however will not allow her to teach, being a woman, and <strong>almost a century will pass before a woman can graduate.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Who was Elena Cornaro Piscopia? The last days in Padua<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After obtaining the prestigious title Elena Lucrezia moved near the Basilica of Saint Anthony, in Palazzo Cornaro. Her weak constitution combined with the frenzied study led her to die at the age of 38. <strong>Her remains are now preserved in the church of Santa Giustina in Padua.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the lapidary plaque in Calle del Carbone,<strong> Elena Lucrezia is remembered with a statue in the Palazzo del Bo in Padua and one of the craters of Venus is dedicated to her<\/strong>. In questo articolo ti vogliamo raccontare\u00a0<strong>le principali caratteristiche della festa di San Marco<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>della leggenda del Bocolo<\/strong>.\r\n<h3>Perch\u00e9 il 25 aprile a Venezia si regala il bocolo? la leggenda pi\u00f9 antica<\/h3>\r\nLa leggenda del Bocolo (o del Boccolo) vanta una tradizione antichissima in quanto risale alla fine del\u00a0<strong>IX secolo<\/strong>, precisamente agli anni compresi tra l\u2019<strong>864<\/strong>\u00a0e l\u2019<strong>881<\/strong>\u00a0quando assunse la carica di\u00a0<strong>Doge di Venezia Orso I Partecipazio<\/strong>.\r\n\r\n<strong>La figlia di questi, Maria (conosciuta anche con il nome di Vulcana in virt\u00f9 del particolare splendore dei suoi occhi) si innamor\u00f2 ricambiata di Tancredi<\/strong>, un giovane dalle umili origini che non poteva ambire a sposarla n\u00e9 a ricevere la benedizione da parte del Doge. Per cui decise di partire per la guerra, in modo da ottenere gloria e onori e una volta ritornato a Venezia poter sposare la sua amata.\r\n\r\nDurante le battaglie Tancredi si distinse per il suo coraggio e valore e le sue gesta arrivarono ben presto a Venezia, con Vulcana che aspettava ansiosa il suo ritorno. Purtroppo un giorno, durante una battaglia con i Mori di Spagna fu ferito a morte e, cadendo su un roseto il suo sangue tinse di rosso un bocciolo di rosa, che prima di morire consegn\u00f2 al suo amico Orlando, chiedendogli di consegnarlo alla sua Vulcana come pegno d\u2019amore.\r\n\r\n<strong>Il giorno successivo alla consegna di questo bocciolo, precisamente il 25 aprile, Maria fu trovata morta nel suo letto, con il bocciolo intriso del sangue del suo amato sul petto; da allora il bocciolo divenne per i veneziani il simbolo di un amore imperituro.<\/strong>\r\n<h3>Perch\u00e9 il 25 aprile a Venezia si regala il bocolo? una storia pi\u00f9 moderna<\/h3>\r\nI veneziani, per\u00f2, hanno anche\u00a0<strong>una versione diversa della leggenda del Bocolo<\/strong>.
