How to reach the center of Venice<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From Venice airport you can take the bus that will take you to Piazzale Roma in just 20 minutes. This is the best solution if you want to save time and money!<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

If you plan to arrive by car, this is not the best choice because you will have to leave your vehicle in Mestre and reach Venice with the various means at your disposal, or drive directly to Venice and then park in one of the parking lots in Piazzale Roma. <\/span><\/p>\n

In short, you can’t visit the Serenissima by car, so wear a pair of comfortable shoes and start walking around this wonderful city<\/strong>, enjoying its streets, shops, churches and magnificent palaces!<\/span><\/p>\n

Palazzo Grimani<\/b><\/h3>\n

So grandiose that it should be much more famous. <\/span><\/p>\n

Built at the request of Gerolamo Grimani in 1532, the palace has undergone various architectural interventions for the next 30 years<\/strong>. It is a fusion of Roman and Tuscan styles since the Doge Grimani, after having lived in Rome, wanted to bring some “modern architecture” to Venice. <\/span><\/p>\n

When his grandson Giovanni Grimani inherited the family home, he dedicated it to his immense passion for works of art that he collected within these striking walls. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Between 1537 and 1540 Giovanni had the walls of the residence frescoed by artists such as Mantovano, Salviati, Federico Zuccari and Giovanni da Udine, a pupil of Raphael<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Between 1567 and 1569 another wing with a chapel was built in which Louis XIII of France conferred the order of Saint Michael to the painter Tiberio Tinelli.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the Republic fell into the illustrious works of Tintoretto, Tiziano and Veronese were looted and part of those remaining were transferred to the Archaeological Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n

Exhibition at Palazzo Grimani: Domus Grimani 1594 – 2019<\/b><\/h3>\n

Today the palace houses the Grimani Museum. So, if you are planning your trip to Venice, stop by to visit the exhibition Domus Grimani 1594 – 2019 which displays the collection of classical sculptures reassembled in its original setting after four centuries<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also admire the tapestries, the furnishings, the paintings and the splendid frescoes while in the Sala dei Fogliami<\/strong> you can see the Renaissance marble tables with antique marble tops with lapis lazuli<\/strong> that Michele Grimani sold to the III count of Warwick who exhibited them in his castle in England: the tables were then auctioned and bought by a private collector. Other beautiful works have been lent by the galleries and foundations and are exceptionally exhibited.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il costo del biglietto \u00e8 assolutamente accessibile poich\u00e9 \u00e8 equivalente a 10 \u20ac per la tariffa intera e 7,50 \u20ac per il ridotto.\r\n
