An unprecedented exhibition about Picasso will enrich the rooms of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection\u00a0from the 26<\/strong>th of August 2017 to the 7th of January 2018.\u00a0<\/strong>The brand new\u00a0Project Rooms of Palazzo Venier<\/strong>\u00a0will actually be the stage on where the exhibition\u00a0\u201cPicasso. Sulla Spiaggia\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cPicasso. On The Beach\u201d) will become alive to celebrate the cubist artist\u2019s genius.\u00a0A real artistic tidbit that I feel strongly advised\u00a0to those who love art<\/strong>\u00a0and those who know how to appreciate art in every way.<\/p>\n Created thanks to the\u00a0collaboration with the Mus\u00e9e National Picasso in Paris<\/strong>\u00a0and curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, the exhibition-dossier \u201cPicasso. Sulla Spiaggia\u201d is based on the charming relationship between Pablo Picasso and the Mediterranean sea.<\/p>\n After a pondered and accurate selection,\u00a0three paintings were chosen, together with ten drawings and a sculpture<\/strong>\u00a0all realised by Picasso between February and December 1937. The aim is to understand and unravel\u00a0the intense bond between the Spanish genius and the Mediterranean<\/strong>, always present throughout his artistic career: from his roots in Spain to the period of time spent in France, going through the relationships with other artists and art branches inspired by Mare Nostrum.<\/p>\n The exhibition, set up in the Project Rooms, focuses around the painting\u00a0\u201cOn The Beach\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(La Baignade) which dates back to the 12th\u00a0of February 1937: a mixture of oil,\u00a0cont\u00e9<\/i>\u00a0and charcoal techniques on a canvas. Symbol of the strong and deep Mediterranean heritage of the Iberian painter, it was also one of the most loved pieces by the American art collector\u00a0Peggy Guggenheim<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Picasso was really into\u00a0the theme of the beach<\/strong>: there are several works representing this setting. The experts think that, observing the images and the moving naked figures, the artist drew his inspiration from\u00a0Giorgione, Tiziano, C\u00e9zanne, Matisse and Renoir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cPicasso. Sulla Spiaggia\u201d is open every day (except Tuesdays), starting\u00a0from the 26<\/strong>th<\/strong>\u00a0of August at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni museum.<\/strong>\u00a0The full price ticket is\u00a015 euros<\/strong>, for people over 65 years old is 13 euros, students (up to 26 years old) pay 9 euros.
