San Martino is on November 11th. In Venice it\u2019s like a second Christmas, a holiday full of sweets and happiness!<\/b><\/h3>\n

In this season Venice is certainly suggestive, the fog often falls between the streets creating a magical and mysterious atmosphere!<\/p>\n

In autumn many of the traditional Venetian folk festivals are celebrated, including San Martino.<\/p>\n

The story of\u00a0San Martino<\/a>\u00a0tells of a noble knight who cut his cloak in two to give it to an old beggar.<\/p>\n

San Martino is a festivity that has been celebrated for centuries by children and parents of the entire city of Venice<\/strong>. In the afternoon of November 11th families go down in the streets and squares and at the sound of the song of San Martin, accompanied by the noise of lids and pots, they go from house to house asking for sweets and toys.<\/p>\n

San Martino: Traditional Venetian delicacies and sweets<\/b><\/h5>\n

The typical dessert of the day is a real delicacy! I\u2019ve tasted that of many Venetian confectioners and just can\u2019t choose my favorite one! If you are a foodie, you can\u2019t absolutely miss it!<\/p>\n

The dessert is composed of a shortcrust pastry base in the shape of a glazed horse<\/strong>\u00a0and embellished with decorations made of shortcrust pastry and candies of every color and sort.<\/p>\n

If you want to try doing it at home you\u2019ll have a lot of fun experimenting with decorations and color combinations, it\u2019s possible to color the shortcrust pastry adding chocolate or other ingredients!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s another\u00a0typical sweet made of quince<\/strong>\u00a0which in Venetian dialect is called\u00a0persegada<\/strong>. You can find it in all the Venetian confectioneries in the San Martino period, it has the shape of a medallion with the saint\u2019s effigy on it.<\/p>\n

San Martino \u00e8 l\u2019undici novembre. A Venezia \u00e8 un secondo Natale, festivit\u00e0 ricca di dolci e felicit\u00e0!<\/h5>

Venezia durante la stagione \u00e8 certamente suggestiva, la nebbia spesso si cala tra le calli creando un\u2019atmosfera magica e misteriosa!<\/span><\/p>

Proprio in autunno si festeggiano molte delle feste popolari della tradizione veneziana, tra cui San Martino. <\/span><\/p>

La storia di <\/span>San Martino<\/a> \u00e8 quella di un nobile cavaliere che tagli\u00f2 in due il suo mantello per farne dono a un vecchio mendicante. <\/span><\/p>

San Martino \u00e8 una festa che da secoli \u00e8 festeggiata da bambini e genitori di tutta la citt\u00e0 di Venezia<\/strong>. Durante il pomeriggio dell\u2019undici<\/span>\u00a0novembre le famiglie scendono nelle calli e nei campi e al suono della canzone di San Martin, accompagnati dal frastuono di coperchi e pentole, vanno di casa in casa a chiedere dolciumi e giochi.<\/span><\/p>

San Martino: Le golosit\u00e0 e i dolci della tradizione a Venezia<\/h3>

Il dolce tipico della giornata \u00e8 una vera prelibatezza! Io ho assaggiato quello di molte pasticcerie veneziane e proprio non saprei scegliere il mio preferito! Se sei una buona forchetta non puoi assolutamente perdertelo! <\/span><\/p>

Il dolce \u00e8 composto di una base di pasta frolla<\/strong> a forma di cavaliere a cavallo glassata e impreziosita con decorazioni fatti di pasta frolla e cioccolatini di ogni colore e sorta. <\/span><\/p>

Se hai voglia di provare a farlo in casa ti divertirai un mucchio nel sperimentare decorazioni \u00a0e abbinamenti di colore, \u00e8 infatti possibile colorare la pasta frolla aggiungendo cioccolato o altri ingredienti! <\/span><\/p>

Tipico della festa \u00e8 anche un dolce fatto di mele cotogne<\/strong> che in dialetto viene chiamato <\/span>persegada<\/b>. Lo trovi in tutte le pasticcerie veneziane nel periodo di San Martino, ha la forma di un medaglione con su impressa l\u2019effige del santo. <\/span><\/p>
